Marie-Therese started her career in commercial banking  at HSBC  Egypt in 2004. After successfully completing the corporate credit course certified by Morgan Stanely, she joined the Corporate Credit department as an Assistant Manager. In 2008, she joined Beltone Financial as a portfolio manager, managing a USD 30 million MENA focused equity fund. She then moved to NBK Capital in Kuwait as a fund manager to manage equity mutual funds and discretionary portfolios in the range of USD 1 billion. She was also part of the business development and fund raising team at NBK Capital, assisting the team to increase Assets Under Management from USD 45m in 2011 to around USD 1bn in 2015. Marie-Therese joined Flat6Labs, in November 2017 as Managing Partner, managing the Egypt portfolio. She currently manages the USD 10 million fund investing in bright innovative technology entrepreneurs in Egypt. The portfolio of 50 companies to date include health tech, edu tech, finchtech, e-commerce, digital content, and logistics startups. She received her Bachelor in Economics from Cairo University in 2003 and Masters Degree in Financial Economics from the University of Warwick, England.
